What We Know
A proposed 1600-acre hyperscale AI data center on Hill City Hwy (FM56) developed by Black Mountain Power LLC. The project includes an 800MW combined-cycle power plant known as the Somervell County Gas Plant. The air permit for the power plant has been approved by TCEQ as a Standard Permit. The facility will consist of two blocks, each containing three gas-fired combustion turbine generators (CTGs) and one heat recovery steam generator. No concept plans or site development plans have been publicly disclosed.
